The precious metals will color change through use transforming before your eyes. This is because a heavy application of Gold creates a transparent reflective pink/yellow in combination with a very thin layer of silver that will create a blue/white transparent reflective. When combined perfectly you will get green! These colors will appear faint at first but in certain bright lights including sunlight produce a brilliant reflection. After a dark layer builds up behind them they will become much more evident, hence the color changing effect.
