The precious metals will color change through use transforming before your eyes. This is because a heavy application of Gold creates a transparent reflective pink/yellow in combination with a very thin layer of silver that will create a blue/white transparent reflective. When combined perfectly you will get green! These colors will appear faint at first but in certain bright lights including sunlight and after a dark layer builds up behind them they will become much more evident, hence the color changing effect.

There is a golden ratio with these hammers when I create the cut n'flip I end up with three sections, two of which become the can and one becomes the stem.
