Boatswain whistle approximately 111mm long comprised of a pomegranate ginger cut n'flip infused with 24 karat Gold &Silver. Encased Opal with golden silver highlights and hidden ultraviolet elements.

Used on naval ships by a boatswain. Historically the boatswain's call passed commands to the crew when the voice could not be heard over the sounds of the sea. Because of its high pitch, the whistle could be heard over the activities of the crew and bad weather. Now used in traditional bugle calls such as Evening Colors/Sunset, and in other ceremonies in most modern navies.

I myself have done a good deal of backpacking and I've spent a lot of time in the woods where I get separated from the other people in the party. We've realized that whistles carry far more distance than yelling and do not wear out your vocal cords with repeated use.
