The name for this cozy cottage was drawn from a life experience traveling 90 days overseas with only a backpack one change of clothes socks and sandals. I wandered through Italy Rome Sardinia Denmark with a last minute stop in Britain where I picked up a warm coat along with a cowboy hat I scored in London. Final destination the mystical island of Iceland. Renting a car and traveling the golden circle I saw an abundance of majestic waterfalls and magnificent landscapes virtually untouched by a small population of wonderful people. One of my most favorite travel destinations of all time a land full of magic and mystery that fully believes in elves which inspired the name Þvörusleikir. In legend one of the Yule lads that would visit homes around winter solstice. Translated as 'spoon licker' he would lick the unwashed cutlery motivating children to keep up with their chores.
