Sun ornaments comprised of my signature pattern known as the cut n'flip. A dynamic and incredibly technical application infusing 24 karat Gold &Silver inside the glass. Inspired by the wrap and rake an ancient technique that dates back to the Egyptians. First a hot stringer is wrapped in a coil around a clear tube. Rapidly heating the surface of the glass I then drag a clear rod down the coil melting a series of chevrons. Capturing the precious metals within they retain striking qualities that are both transparent wile simultaneously reflecting a rainbow array of color. Finally the most technical maneuver that I have orchestrating for nearly 25 years of my glassblowing career is to cut the hot glass tube open flat and then flip the entire pattern inside out to producing a radiant three-dimensional translucent effect that is absolutely timeless.

Another nifty twist I have figured out is to hermetically seal my glass orbs capturing the magical atmosphere from the studio forever sealing it within. This technique is incredibly tricky due to pressure differences in the heating. Over the years I have reverse engineer and perfect the technique of sealing the glass all by myself!
